Will Louis Van Gaal Depart Manchester United Despite Winning The FA Cup?

Manchester United won the FA Cup trophy yesterday, which happens to be the clubs first title since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, after beating Crystal Palace 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.

Despite the victory and the breaking of the three-years trophy jinx by Van Gaal, it looks as if the Dutchman may not remain as Manager of Manchester United next season, as there are still strong indications that Jose Mourinho will take over from him as manager next season.

unitedLouis Van Gaal is set to meet Old Trafford ­executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and a number of Glazer family members today, for talks to confirm that he is being replaced this summer by the former Chelsea boss.

The Dutchman had hoped that he would have been given an opportunity to work the final season of his three-year contract if he lifted the FA Cup given the ­opportunity to work the final season of his three-year contract if he lifted the FA Cup .

But that summit will confirm his departure a year early from Old Trafford. Woodward’s determination not sack his second manager in three seasons has been undone by United’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.
